Shearling attire has flown down the runways this season faster than Amelia Earhart flew across the Atlantic Ocean! Leslie Irwin designed and manufactured the first flying jacket in 1926. Originally sported by pilots; who would've predicted to see this cozy fabric take form in garments, accessories, and home decor in this era. This fabric also takes me back to reading the nursery rhyme Lil Bo Peep. Now we know what really happened to her sheep! A blossoming designer she envisioned herself to be, she had couture cooking in head. And spun her ideas into aviator chic for the streets.
