Blue is a soothing, tranquil color. Most people like some variant of blue for it's a calming color and also subconsciously gives one a feeling of "floating" by air or on water. It is a neutral color that goes along well with most colors and notably known as the "new black."
I once read a book a called "Blue Eyeshadow Should Be Illegal"; although it had helpful beauty tips, I can say I didn't agree with the title of the book. I thought the illegal application of blue eyeshadow can be overdone and lead to a violation. So apply your blue eyeshadow with caution. Although I'm not featuring blue eyeshadow in my post, the pictures lends inspiration for selection of experimenting with different hues of blue for creating dramatic look for your eyeshadow palette.
Blue, albeit in denim blue, navy blue, robin's nest blue, should always be an ever-present color in everyone's wardrobe and makeup bag. It's the "go to" color and "safe" color that's easy on the eyes.
