To find that perfect gift for dad is quite the treasure hunt. What is the magical gift to light up dad's face on Father's Day?

Dad's wardrobe is not as complex as mom's. There are those dads who are not into fashion. Fashion to them is comfort, and that comfort is equivalent to their favorite pants, shirt, and footwear. Hopefully it's not pajamas worn as outwear...

 

 

 

Father's Day can be a traumatic shopping escapade. How many socks, ties, tees, and pjs can we shop for and can a man ultimately hoard? However, I'm thankful for the dads who don't return their gifts; they just store it in the back of the closet or drawer in case of emergency.

 

 

When searching for cards this year I got anxiety.  Much luck is needed to those with trying to find a card for the other male relatives in your family like your brother, uncle, nephew, baby-daddy, and cousin. What happened greeting card creators?

Warm Leather Fashion for Spring 2013

As the day grow longer and the weather warms up, we are forced to shed to comforting layers of the cold seasons past. I am not one to embrace the warm weather pattern sweeping across the country. I live in the Desert stopover of Sin City and the I am going through withdrawals to change from my leather jackets to wearing sweaters.  I do love the supple coolness of donning a leather jacket or even a faux leather garment. It's sleek style shows a silent rebellion to the world. So I scour fashion pages and the web for lightweight leathers that will kill me softly to breathe easy in the warmer temps of Spring.

Veterans Day Fashions- Military Inspired Wear

Remembering Veteran's Day to all those who fought and protected our land shores during past and present times.

Since we are recognizing our veterans, I decided to run a post on military inspired fashions. For military wear never goes out of style, one can always find a piece to add to their wardrobe no matter the season. I was curious as to why military wear never seems to go out of style, is it because we are always involved in a war in some part of the world, or does it represent empowerment in wearing something inspired by the military.

However the case may be, remember those who sacrifice themselves to make our country a safer place to live. In the meantime, I continue to pray for peace in world.

My religious foundation brings about guilt that I should attend mass frequently.

And what does it equate to.
Not only how they coexist in a functional way,
but what is the symbolism in relation to style?
Is it an exhibition of our religious beliefs? Or an expression of a cool fashion statement?

Most artists, rockers, and celebrities wear a cross embellished on their clothing,"blinged" out crucifixes around their necks, or tattooed on their body. 

What does this represent?

Are they Catholic? Or on a spiritual journey?  Protection?

Does it somehow contain the real meaning of the cross to the designer + consumer?

I don't think the "marriage" of religion + fashion is offensive.

I am curious that this spiritual symbol never goes out of style in fashion inspiration/ industry.

Thus getting more popular through the generations.

I think that wearing a cross has different meaning according to the wearer.

Hopefully, it is a positive message.
