And yes the SAG Awards... not as entertaining as the Golden Globes, but awards given were equally exciting. I am just not sure as to who is going to receive an Oscar in all catagories; however, Natalie Portman does seem to be the front runner for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Awards aside, on to the red carpet winners and losers (or should have stayed home).
To my shock, I noticed a lack of "bling" on the carpet for this event. Has the recession hit the red carpet? The accessories were bangles and earrings, bare necks-no pendants. for this event, jewelry was kept at a bare minimum. The color palette was infused with reds, pinks, and oranges. Body focal point were the shoulders; one shoulder, spaghetti straps, and strapless dresses ruled the red carpet. Hairstyles were mostly relaxed tresses falling gracefully, Rapunzel-like on starlets shoulders. Some had their hair pulled back so taut it almost looked like their chignon or ponytail gave them a face lift; example, ala Amy Adams.
